Fake Firearms Bill in Maine Legislature Facing Opposition

A bill before the Maine legislature to make possession of a toy gun in a school or on school grounds a crime is under consideration. The proposed law carries a penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. So I guess the student who gets caught will repeat that grade and have to get a paper route to pay off the fine once released from the six month prison sentence.
